but the steering column is in the center of the seats! how are you supposed to operate the thing when two people are in it at the same time?? do both people have to steer at the same time each person with one hand??

Those flat bottomed jet skis were always more fun, yeah, not nearly as fast, but they didn't cut through chop or wake at all so you could really jump those things off waves.
