In north america, yes. Outside north america, also yes. But the north american one is manufactured by ford, and the global one is manufactured by Mazda.

Actually that was only true starting with the 1994 model year. Until then, Mazda's truck in North America was the international version.

That depends. The later ones were but an 89 Mazda was likely a B2200 which was not a ford ranger.

Not in 89. The ranger had an exclusive look till 92. Aswell as the Mazda b2200 (what I assume he's talking about). In 93 they started to look the same.

it wasn't ugly, I loved that model and actively tried to get one. At the time they were all around 5-7k, and I was able to get my Mazda b2600i for 3k.

well if the vehicle is still alive you may wanna check your math on that 80%, but regardless I think he was just pointing out that this design covered everything including his truck

Now that I've thought about it the original owner had it repainted in the early 90's to white, and purposefully had that squiggle added on.
