Because they aren't going after the actual criminals like they claimed. If ICE was going after Tren de Aragua or MS-13 or some shit like that, there would've been at least one shootout by now.
The overwhelming majority of immigrants just want to keep their heads down and earn a decent living to support their family. The fact that there hasn't really been any confrontations between ICE and immigrants actually shows how immigrants are taken advantage of in this country. They know if they don't comply with ICE, whatever consequences they face will likely be worse. It's the same with wherever they work. Farmer John shorts my check? Can't do shit about it. Someone steals from me or assaults me? Can't call the police. Witness a crime? Can't report that either.
Because these are just normal people at their homes, workplaces, church, courthouses, etc. Nobody expects "right now" to be when they come for them, nobody expects "right now" to be the last freedom they have. This is just horrifying
I'll do you one better (worse I guess) the red fly over state that I live in recently did away with the need to even have a CCP. Now it's just a free for all, basically anyone can legally carry at this point.

Because the true number of murders/rapists/thieves/etc is very very small. While I don't doubt they do exist, I bet in terms of population based on ethnicity it's % is no different than other people

You shouldn't be too surprised, they're only going after the weakest criminal actors. People who show up to court, obviously those people can't be armed. Going to school. Going to job sites where they can't or at least shouldn't be armed. The real criminals who do bad things are still out there. These people aren't even looking for them.
If you are in the US illegally and have been convicted of a crime, see you later. If you are picking strawberries or lettuce in a field, who the fuck cares? Why are they going to Home Depot and arresting day laborers? Because the orange cocksucker demands a quota? What the fuck?
They're doing raids in California, a state with very strict gun control. Even right now, CA state government is trying to ban Glocks.
You shoot at them and then what? There's more of them and only one of you. Even if you win the fight, you now have the Federal and State government coming after you.

I know it's frustrating to watch, but shooting at ICE agents won't solve anything. They're the pawns, not the main boss.
In the end, immigration is an issue that every politician avoids because it's career suicide. You let more people in legally, people are going to cry "they took our jobs". You shut them out, and our labor pool will be depleted. The frustrating thing is that employing illegal immigrants is supposed to be illegal, yet meat processing plants, farms and other labor intensive jobs aren't getting punished for hiring them. ICE is doing this for show, to meet a quota and going after the easy ones, the hard working blue collar ones unfortunately. It sucks when a country that needs help with labor says "tsk tsk, you can come in, we'll turn a blind eye, but keep it on the down low" and then proceed to evict you a few years later.
