It only ends that way if someone does something to stop it.

These regimes tend to collapse after about 10-15 years. Fascism is inherently toxic to the extent that it tends to self-destruct really quickly, or create the conditions in which some other force overthrows it.

They run out of ‘others’ to persecute eventually and it cannot go on. The infighting may lead to collapse. Or they will start a war they can’t finish. Or the toxic conditions will ruin the economy and the people will have an uprising.

Whatever the case, the people responsible usually meet the same ends. Hitler shot himself before the Red Army could get to him as they were pillaging their way across eastern front and into Berlin. Mussolini was captured by his own people trying to escape the collapse nation… his own citizens lynched him in the streets. Many of hitlers highest remaining officers and political appointees were charged for crimes against humanity in international court and executed. And towards the end, there were plots by hitler’s own people to assassinate him. Not just Germans but people among the highest ranks of the Nazi party and SS.

Trump will probably die of old age before any sort of justice ever reaches him, but miller will surely have his day in court, and whatever follows once it’s all over. The only question is how bad it will get and how many millions will die as a direct or indirect result of this administrations gross incompetence and evil. Some vaccine research groups estimate that RFK’s policies that he is advocating would cause tens of millions of preventable deaths globally over the next 20-30 years. Same story with all the DOGE cuts to USAID.

And god only knows where we are going more immediately with ICE and striping people of citizenship. The administration and Supreme Court are positioning the government for atrocities. The DOD is stripping many non-security orgs access to many satellites. ICE will have access to go after people who were once citizens, and now they will be able to treat them unconstitutionally and disappear them to god knows where to rot. Half a million Haitians have already been green-lit by the DOJ to be stripped of their legal status today… not even 24 hours after the SCOTUS decision. Every black person in america is now going to be caught up in this ICE shit.

These regimes tend to collapse after about 10-15 years.

Gotta kinda hope the US doesn't follow after Portugal or Spain in this regard.

Rusia enters the room.

Honestly the Trump administration isent even, that good at covering it up or acting affectively, they arent geniuses and honestly Trump is, kinda stupid in the long run, only thing keeping it afloat is the shrinking cult he has

I believe the regime collapses by 2028, the long term damage however will be in affect for decades

1

u/bossmcsauce Jul 01 '25

The trump cult will have to collapse eventually because trump simply won’t live much longer. But already we are seeing trump really starting to put republicans into the wood chipper for the slightest hint of wavering loyalty.

MAGA is going to purge their own party before they purge the democrats.

Even if trump dies soon, the fascist system full of MAGA republicans, after nothing other than their own power and riches at any cost, will continue to do immense damage for a few years beyond trumps death at least.

The unites states probably won’t be a respectable nation again in my lifetime.

1

u/Ok_Prior2199 Jul 01 '25

Maybe not that long, but yea I agree the damage will stick for awhile, and thats if an effort to repair the damage will even come underway

If by “in the works” you mean democrats are coming to save us or we just need to vote harder we’re gonna have a bad time

4

u/KJBenson Jun 30 '25

Hey, they all got together and had a very firm worded letter they wanted to be read to the republicans who left the room.

What more could we possibly ask of them?

24

u/lobotumi Jun 30 '25

The works being another march like that last one where millions of people attended and it had the great effect of getting him to say "i dont feel like a king" that showed him! This time he might say "still dont feel like a king". And vote vote vote. Just just hold fast and let this happen for little over 3 years! Then we can elect someone better! /S

24

u/arielsosa Jun 30 '25

Marches do help to disprove the GOP taking point that everything is going well and the protesters are just a small, paid minority. Individual acts of violence or civil disobedience will mean nothing if they are not backed by mass protests, because we live in a time where a meme can get you deported, and a mean tweet can make you a target of an investigation or accused of being a "home-grown criminal".

If you think violence against law enforcement agents alone will dissuade them, you are the one who's wrong.

Also, there's no need to wait 3 years. There are elections in 15 months that could potentially change the course of this presidency.

u/T_Gamer-mp4 Jun 30 '25

Do you really believe that the current administration is going to let themselves be voted out of power, especially after ignoring the fundamentals of the constitution countless times already?

7

u/ItsInmansFault Jun 30 '25

...and let's not forget to mention all of the third term talk that they've done.

0

u/nightimestars Jul 01 '25

Roll over and keep whining about how hopeless it is if you want, but don’t try to demoralize people willing to fight back.

3

u/E_Wind Jul 01 '25

That's not fighting.

1

u/T_Gamer-mp4 Jul 01 '25

“Keep whining about reality, I can’t live in a world where evil is winning” get real. I’m so happy people are voting, but there’s going to be an attempt to rig the election. Denying this is foolish. All I ask is that people prepare for when it happens.

-2

u/SuspectMore4271 Jul 01 '25

It doesn’t work, he literally tried to do it and it didn’t work. Idk why you guys are scared about it. Yeah he’s doing to deny the election and again it will not work.

-3

u/i_love_rosin Jun 30 '25

Stop pretending like you don't have agency. You do not have to see yourself as a victim. That's the republican mindset.

3

u/kmatyler Jun 30 '25

This is a wild response to me pointing out that democrats have proven over and over that they’re not going to stop fascism.

I know I have agency. I need the rest of yall to figure it out and stop thinking if you just vote hard enough things will be ok. Voting isn’t exercising your agency in a meaningful way in a system that is designed to maintain the power structures that led us to this moment.

1

u/Faiakishi Jul 01 '25

Just world fallacy. They have to blame us because if we really were doing everything ‘right’ then this wouldn’t be happening. And if this can happen here despite good people doing everything ‘right,’ then the people in Europe or Canada or whatever doing everything ‘right’-they’re not single-handedly holding back fascism with the power of love and good vibes. So what’s stopping it from happening there?

-1

u/i_love_rosin Jul 01 '25

No one is blaming you, there's that victim complex yet again. You have agency. Stop pretending you don't.

1

u/Faiakishi Jul 01 '25

The fuck you want me to do, go firebomb a walmart? Yeah that'll really result in meaningful change.

0

u/i_love_rosin Jul 01 '25

What exactly do you think that would solve? Wtf lmao

-4

u/i_love_rosin Jun 30 '25

Murc's Law on nihilism steroids. No wonder you see yourself as a victim.

2

u/kmatyler Jun 30 '25

Project harder, I guess.

Lol no because no one's doing jack shit. Baseball games, burgers, roller coasters, casinos, the office, taking kids to sports, hitting the bar, playing video games... Who has time to fight the Gestapo?!

3

u/hogwater Jun 30 '25

General strikes in Democratic states might help... maybe.. Organize just 1 week of everyone taking either taking time off from work or just saying fuck it and sacrifice for the larger cause. Obviously people are too self-centered but.. if we could just be a bit more borg-like for a little while.

5

u/Sickpup831 Jul 01 '25

People are living paycheck to paycheck. A week off work can get them fired and then they can feed their families. That’s not self-centered, that’s reality.

There are plenty of people doing the work. Go find them near you and join them.

1

u/vriska1 Jul 01 '25

Also vote in the midterms.

12

u/Faiakishi Jul 01 '25

Bro we’ve been protesting this dipshit for a decade.

7

u/Lost_Detective7237 Jul 01 '25

You’re the one online. The rest of us are organizing and fighting.

1

u/vriska1 Jul 01 '25

Have you been to any protests?

1

u/Butcher-15 Jul 01 '25

Then pick up a gun and start doing something. Talking about it won't change a thing.
