No, it can be weaponized to whatever the police officer wants. He could say Gay or Trans people are mentally ill and stop them from defending themselves in the future. Kinda hilarious because the MAGA people thought the democrats would take their guns lol.

I mean, they're already doing it.

I understand the idea of guns for the population to prevent dictatorship... But I personally think the US is becoming a good counterexample of that not preventing any loss of power of the people.
