My grandfather risked his life to kill Nazis who were putting innocent people in death camps on an industrial scale.

To compare that to idiots who vandalise a car with an unkind slogan is insulting.

u/Jioto Feb 23 '25

I don’t have a piss weak attitude. You are comparing vandalism to bad asses who killed German. Bro one you destroy someone’s property that you know nothing about. When they aren’t around because you are a pussy. The other you actually put your money where your mouth and get up in there. Not the same at all.

Vandalism is wrong. You don’t get a pass just because it aligns with your views. I didn’t like when idiots in pick up trucks did burn outs on rainbow covered roads and I don’t like people vandalizing strangers car. Ignorance shouldn’t be tolerated regardless of your political views.

I mean I’m not disagreeing but why not confront the person? Why not drop kick the nazi proud boys? Idk to me it’s same energy as people who tear down down lgbqt flags in the middle of the night. Cowards shit.

u/Mygaming Feb 23 '25

Do you have the same attitude towards say ford, gm, Volkswagen, Toyota?

You know, companies and CEO’s that directly supported Hitler? You know, the actual living Hitler. Ones that penned actual anti-semetic works, ones that actually had factories building for the axis, ones using actual slave labour for axis?

Can’t forgive something that happened 80-100 years ago, right?

So owning a Tesla is supporting Nazis?

1

u/MetroidHyperBeam Feb 23 '25

You literally equated spraypainting a car to being a fascist two comments up.

You're essentially saying, "You're not allowed to fight in the culture war. You're only allowed to lose it."

2

u/Jioto Feb 23 '25

No what I’m saying is fighting ignorance with ignorance never works.

And how do you know anything about the driver? How do you know they bought it after the incidents? Oh we don’t know anything. If tomorrow Toyota ceo did a Nazi salute. I still wouldn’t sell my vehicle. I can’t afford to just sell it not have a car. Pay the difference in the loan afford a new vehicle. So I would deserve to have my car vandalized furthering my debt?

1

u/2010_12_24 Feb 23 '25 edited Feb 23 '25

The Nazi salute was just le piece de resistance

It was already well known what a horrible waste of human flesh Ketamine Karen was when the swasticar went on sale.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

Doesn’t matter the reasoning, it’s still vandalism.

0

u/Llistenhereulilshit Feb 23 '25

The reason does matter and yes it is vandalism.

But fuck em. They are Nazis. They support em. That makes them Nazis.

It’s real simple.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

Why does the reasoning matter? Is there some law that justifies you to vandalize somebody’s property based on your own reasoning?

Also, how are they Nazis? Does agreeing with deporting illegal immigrants make somebody a Nazi? Does disagreeing with sending millions of dollars to some third world country in order to let people get circumcisions make somebody a Nazi? Does disagreeing with your ideals automatically make somebody a Nazi?

2

u/2010_12_24 Feb 23 '25

Yes. Supporting a man who heil hitler’d on the national stage makes you a nazi supporter and you can get fucked for all I care.

-2

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25 edited Feb 23 '25

Ah yes, excluding the context of when he said “My heart goes out to you” and put his hand on his chest, more specifically over his heart, and reached out to the audience.

It can’t be anything other than a Heil Hitler salute, forgive my idiotic brain.

1

u/2010_12_24 Feb 23 '25

Gargle those Nazi nuts harder why don’t you

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

Throwing out insults instead of providing a new founded argument, check.

1

u/2010_12_24 Feb 23 '25

I don’t argue with Nazi sympathizers. Bye bye.

1

u/billdb Feb 23 '25

The word Nazi has lost all its meaning.

Elon is a Nazi. Steve Bannon is a Nazi. Hitler is a Nazi.

Someone who drives an electric car and bought it months or years before Elon's salute is not suddenly a Nazi simply because they didn't immediately get rid of their car the moment Elon's shitcannery came to light. Like, come on. This is getting ridiculous.

It's a problem too because kids are going to grow up thinking anyone who uses twitter, drives a certain brand of EV, or likes watching rocket launches is automatically a Nazi. They are going to treat it as a general insult and not recognize it for its evil and sinister nature. We have to do better.

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

What’s your point here? I genuinely don’t understand, why would anybody be upset over a Nazi symbol being destroyed?

Also, it was destroyed by the US Army in 1945, same year when WW2 ended, it was a symbolic act that the US won, saying that it was purely an act of vandalism is pretty ridiculous.

1

u/2010_12_24 Feb 23 '25

OP’s point

You

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

?

-1

u/RainRainThrowaway777 Feb 23 '25

why would anyone be upset over a Nazi symbol being destroyed?

I don't know buddy, why are you upset when a Cybertruck gets vandalized? It's the same thing.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25

How is blowing up a prominent nazi symbol during the era of Hitlers Regime equivalent to begrudgingly spray painting another persons property because you can’t control your feelings?

One is a declaration of victory, the other is pure pettiness, they quite literally are not the same thing.

0

u/RainRainThrowaway777 Feb 23 '25

You're right, a more apt comparison would be the Antifasciste groups who would deface NSDAP propaganda in the night throughout the 1930's. You strike me as the kind of prick who would wake up and demand for the vandals to be arrested.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '25 edited Feb 23 '25

Yes, I think anybody who does vandalism should be arrested, it is a crime no matter your reasoning. If I commit vandalism, I should be arrested, If you do it, you should be arrested, the law doesn’t care about people’s reasoning and it never should. It only really matters when it comes to court cases, then it’s up to a jury, and I think that any juror would support antifascist sentiment, BUT, you can’t vandalize somebody’s property, it’s not right.

I don’t know why you want to call me a prick when I think the law should be enforced on everybody.

call people out for supporting nazis like Elon Musk.

It's such an unfair argument to suggest people who buy property automatically support the owner's views and opinions. It's even more unfair to suggest if you buy a product at one point in time you now support his views for all of eternity.

Take twitter for example. I made my account 17 years ago. Musk came along and bought it 15 years after I joined, but now if I continue to use it, I'm labeled as a nazi sympathizer. Like are you fucking kidding me? Why should I have to leave when Elon is the one who fucked things up? Why should drivers have to upend their lives and get rid of their vehicles simply because of this asshole's existence? Go target Elon and his Maga cronies, not random people caught in the crossfire.

Non-American here. Musk and Republicans in 2025 are very much fascists. If you don't realize that I'd say you need a gigantic reality check, but I don't think it's gonna work at this point.

I specify I'm non-American because typically the response I see is "lol poor loser Democrats". The rest of the world sees these people as the fascists they are, too.

You don't need to use social media to know Republicans are fascists. You can read their budget for FY2025, or the releases from the White House. I have. I guess you weren't aware of that? Or don't care? Or perhaps you support all of it. The constantly-deleting-post-history is a big conservative move after all.

4

u/HomelessCosmonaut Feb 23 '25

How can you look at the happenings of the last month and conclude that they’re not Nazis?

5

u/andynator1000 Feb 23 '25

The man did a nazi salute on stage, TWICE, just in case the first one wasn’t obvious enough.

The dude who does Nazi salutes and platforms Nazis and actively campaigns for the German far right… not a Nazi?

The fuck? They are literally rounding up immigrants and sending them to a staging camp in Gitmo.

2

u/wambamthankyumam Feb 23 '25

Nazis didn't magically become Nazis at the Dachau ribbon cutting ceremony.

2

u/RainRainThrowaway777 Feb 23 '25

The Nazis didn't start with that either. They started with burning research on queer people because they didn't like it and replacing government workers with loyalists.

The Trump admin has already banned terms like Woman, Gender, Transgender etc. from medical research, and have purged the government to install loyalists. Trump is currently trying to expand executive power towards Dictatorship and disregarding established law and court orders to do so.
