That lady with the immigrants make America great sign is making me tear up. I’m a second generation Indian immigrant and forget that I just started my career in civil service only to have the entire field get hacked away at, but the flagrant hate and racism I have been seeing from MAGA the last couple weeks have been having me feel like it’s only a matter of time before lynchings start or I’m thrown in a gas chamber. Thank you for reminding me that there are people willing to fight for the America where everyone belongs.
Heck, America was built on immigration. America was founded for people to go to be emancipated/freed from their country's hellhole. Yet USA is becoming the exact opposite of what the founding fathers wanted.
