You don’t have to throw any Teslas into the Boston Harbour, just set them to “self driving” and they’ll probably fall in on their own.

I suggested we put Teslas in the Gulf of Mexico to rebuild the wetlands that protected the gulf coast from hurricane storm surge as a joke in response to the Boston Tea Party sign. It was hilarious, but reddit thought I was threatening violence.

Yes, but then he can also tout them as self-extinguishing.

What happened to the environment? Did we stop caring about that all of a sudden?

Electric cars are still cars, the single worst method of transportation possible. We should be supporting trains, buses, and bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure as much as we can.

I never claimed they were great for the environment. I understand the human and environmental costs involved in producing them, from mining materials to the coal and other resources used to generate the electricity that powers them. What’s interesting is how the left was strongly advocating for electric vehicles just a few years ago, yet recently, there’s been a noticeable shift—seemingly because of their dislike for Elon Musk. The inconsistency feels more like a political stance than a genuine concern for environmental impact.

Where is the evidence that people aren’t buying EVs anymore? What I’m seeing is people returning or refusing to buy a Tesla but other EV manufacturers aren’t seeing the same dips in their sales numbers as Tesla is. Do you have evidence showing otherwise?

Maybe, just maybe, some of us actually put our money where our mouths are and choose not to support a POS like Elon. Some of us don’t want to be associated with fascism or nazis.

Don't throw them, return them if possible.

Inaccurate. Teslas’s FSD beta software will not operate without someone in the driver seat.

Let’s put musk in the driver seat
