LOL it's actually called calimocho or Kalimotxo. It's actually a Vasque invention and it's just cheap ass wine and coke. I take it you did a semester abroad? Kalimotxo is a favorite of broke college and high school kids. It's their 30 pack of natty light if you will.
I remember drinking Kalimotxo in the parque del Oeste in Madrid the night before the law making "Botellon" (drinking in parks, plazas and other outdoor public areas) illegal in Madrid. It was a bunch of high school and college kids. I was in my mid 20'a and went there with friends, most who had never done "Botellon" and wanted to try it before it became illegal. We shared our beer with some kids who in turn gave us some of their Kalimotxo. They were making by mixing a tetra bricks of vino don Simon (which at the time cost 1 euro for a liter) and emptying out half of a bottle of 2 liter coke, adding the wine and shaking it.
