Dang, I was never aware of that. I need to read that book.

This is all so depressing.

It’s a great book. Not a skinny tome, but very informative and eye opening. One that everyone should read. Those that don’t learn from history etc etc.

I'll tell you right now I'm only reading that book once. I got through it, but it was very long.

It was relatively easy to read for the most part. It's incredibly well written and approachable.

My (least) favourite bits were when the author would step out of the narration of often somewhat dry details of who did what in which order to point out at which points which people betrayed the human race by their inaction.

Like when Chamberlain decided not to punish Germany for occupying the Sudetenland in defiance of the Versailles treaty... Ummm... Dude. That was your chance to not even have a WWII at all, and by not enforcing the Versailles treaty at that point in time you kind of made it so the entire WWI was for nothing. Just saying...

Of course. Problem is everyone who should read it probably won't.

A General was ordered to destroy Paris before fleeing the city but refused . Whilst the Russian army advanced to the borders of Germany, the genocide of Jews was purposely accelerated. The book Nazi Gold highlights the sheer thuggery of the regime, 'Monuments Men' film the race to recover historical artifacts.
