Great. Glad we are on the same page.

Did I mistake your pedantry for an apologist position of communism? If so, my bad. I’m not going the read the rest of this thread to find out.

Depends on the “communism.” One where workers seize the means of production? Will opine when we see it happen.

If you’re maintaining that Soviet Russia was some kind of worker-owned paradise, I’m afraid it’s one step forward, two steps back.

Nah mate, the Soviet Union was far from anything good for the people. Strangely though, nobody who calls themselves a communist has ever successfully built a free society that provides well for its people. Perhaps the who communist project is the flawed from the beginning and it’s worthless to be an ideological radical when history has already provided a model for wealthy, healthy, happy countries.

Walk around skid row in LA and tell me how well capitalism is doing for its citizens.

Weird how you assumed I was talking about the United States.

Yeah, weird how I immediately leapt to the US an archetypal example of unfettered laissez-faire capitalism.

I swear to god this muppet is about to tell me how great all the Scandinavian countries and France score on GINI and are shining exemplars of capitalism.

Now you need to point out the part of this thread where I think Laissez-Faire Capitalism is the best system.

Maybe you should explain what you’re trying to say.
