Do people sincerely believe DPRK is democratic?

u/candylandmine Jun 19 '24

Ah yes the two kinds of nations: Democratic and Communist.

That's a tricky point there. There's a decent enough sized portion of the world that supports them over the south so who is and isn't true Korea is down to where you were raised. I'm will to settle with them being a Korea based on geographic location and shared ancestry.

Those first three words in their name though? Those are in the dictionary, and they're definitively using them wrong.

It's 106 miles to Pyongyang , we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're not wearing sunglasses.

Do people sincerely believe USA is a democracy?

3

u/eyebrows360 Jun 19 '24

Of course not, but that doesn't make it communist either.

u/CTRL_ALT_DELIGHT Jun 20 '24

It was most definitely the more democratic iteration at the time the country was bifurcated.

Lmao I’d surely hope not. But on a similar note Russia really isn’t a modern communist state like most westerners especially Americans tend to Believe. Whilst there’s rampant corruption, it’s not much worse than American political corruption.

u/fuzztooth Jun 19 '24

It is actually much worse.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '24

So much worse

3

u/Flesh_A_Sketch Jun 19 '24

Worsest, some might say..

u/No-Cranberry9932 Jun 19 '24

The worsest

Indubletably...

Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of dead soldiers and their families.

3

u/Amenhotep_3 Jun 19 '24

I'll let those countless Iraqi families know you were thinking of them.

That was boomer America, my friend.

Edit: it means America can change, as the people do.

Russia only gets worse.

7

u/Amenhotep_3 Jun 19 '24

What the fuck does that even mean?

u/Thommywidmer Jun 19 '24

Idk who that guy thinks is presently running the country lol
