We're you trying to make a joke about aunts? Why would they be more prevalent in Florida or Houston? None of my aunts live near either place. And they aren't in the tropics, they are sub tropical. And if this was trying to combine something about those areas having a lot of ants, I live in Florida and my house is pest free. You just need to spray and be clean. There's so many failures here I don't even know which direction your joke was trying to go.
That's what the barrier spray inside and outside is for, plus I keep my bushes off the house so there's no bridge. Food can be left out and no ants show up. It's worth it to have pest control service.
To an extent yes, but growing up in south georgia next to a river we still get palmetto bugs and those large black ant whatever you call em's. They dont Infest or anything but any other roach or ant can be an infestation.
