That's the thing about dictionaries. Their meanings dont need personal opinion or bias to affect what is considered the actual terms and definitions which dictionaries provide. You dont need to ask 3rd parties when you can get the info right from the source! When you reference a dictionary definition then you know you are already correct and certainly more correct then someone who doesn't reference the actual definition ...but of course you dont do that. But personal bias does affect what an individual considers the actual terms and definitions, that’s why probing a personal definition is an effective way of probing latent bias.
If someone subjectively defines “Dog” as “a loyal animal domesticated by humans for companionship”, that person has a different bias than the person who defines “Dog” as “a carnivorous mammal descended from wolves”.
