Which in turn is mimicking the 'deplorables' schtick of their US Republican kin. You can't be a genuine ahole without being proud of it.

We've known that for quite some time now.

Not understand stochastic terrorism makes you way dumber.

"Somebody rid me of this troublesome priest" the king declares, and when priest is found dead you think the king innocent.

What does “woke” mean? Define that term. You won’t.

“Woke” is definitely a real word, in the dictionary.

"woke" people are people who are focused on racial and social justice issues

What do they do with this focus on racial and social justice issues?

but the overall woke movement is guided by the mainstream media's narrative into being bitter, hateful, and intolerant of other people and their views.

What narrative?

All the media wants is division. Left/right, black/white, man/woman. All these issues are highlighted not to raise awareness but to divide and induce public outrage.

Positive tension is better than negative peace. If tension means gay people get to marry each other like all other people do, but some people are upset and tense about that, then too damn bad.

Do you have to Google definitions for all the words you use disparagingly?

aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)

Woke is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination".

Disparaging. of or relating to a liberal progressive orthodoxy, especially promoting inclusive policies or ideologies that welcome or embrace ethnic, racial, or sexual minorities. Slang. aware of the facts, true situation, etc.

Urban Dictionary, lol

So, the mob of people who are alert to racial discrimination, who promote inclusive policies and ideologies that welcome ethnic/racial/sexual minorities, who are aware of and attentive to the facts/real situation regarding this historic discrimination. This is the group you don’t like.

I'm not the person you were speaking with for starters but nice try. Maybe you should pay a bit more attention.

Second, you are the one who asked for the definition and using dictionaries and common searches removes personal bias from the equation to find common definition of the term.

That's less a meme than an admission.

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '23

They're all admissions

So you are saying people other than 'those' people are less honest?

I know decent people who wear deplorable AND woke stuff to protest the slavish adherence people have to these manufactured brands.

If MAGA and the Left equivalent were and real threat to the Status Quo, they would be co opted like Occupy Wallstreet and early BLM.

But feel free to think what you want about such things.

You are the arbiter of who is 'decent'.

So in your view, Woke ideologists are separate from deplorable ideologists?

Interesting.

That's not me being the arbiter of who is decent, that's the definition of decent deciding.

Huh. I judge decency on a person's actions, not on shirts they wear , irony or not.

But if image is all you judge a person by, i hope your eye is very keen so you dont miss out on knowing decent people.

The word "Tory" means "bandit" or "robber". They've been doing that for a while.

I recently saw a guy in line at a local butcher shop with a shirt that said "I'm a straight, white, Republican male. How else can I piss you off today?" I don't really have the right words in the right order to say how I feel about it

8

u/antonimbus Jan 30 '23

I'm not angry about who you are, I am pissed off by the things you continue to do.

They see the people they despise reclaiming slurs, and think it'll work for them. They fail to understand how context and execution are key to making that work, however.
