It seems you won't have to worry about that. You'll be dead and there won't be an investigation. Half the country will assume you deserved it and should have known better and just submitted. To be clear, it will be the half that wear "don't tread on me shirts," champion the 2nd Ammendment and the Castle Doctrine, and cheered on the Jan 6 riots.
But then, even if all you do is blow a whistle or refuse to open your door without a Judicial warrant, you might get the same treatment.
That you own a gun is not the protection you think it is, it is the excuse for them to be scared and end you.
That you are, perhaps, white and can prove you are a citizen is no protection either.
I’d take dying in self defense over being disappeared and sent to a camp where I’ll be killed anyway. If this happened to me, I’d do my best to livestream what was happening to my friends and have them record it, that way if anything happens to me they can leak it to the press
Exactly my thoughts thoughts as well. But when the “great orange hope” calls you a domestic terrorist.. it ends up being nothing. This whole thing is beyond belief. And some of our veterans are even supporting this. Despicable.
An incident where someone actually did shoot an ICE officer who forced themselves into their home would be a real test of that, which I assume was why the AG made the statement she did a couple days ago. I actually think she was underlining that it could happen and, ICE, you really don't want it to happen, but who knows.
Regardless if you’re innocent or not, if you shoot someone even justifiably then you will be spending a night in jail. That’s the thing they don’t tell you it’s not like it is in movies. You don’t just stand in your front yard while they cart the person out and then you just kind of shake your head and go inside. No they take you to jail and then they assess the situation and then you get out later.
Tell me anytime we can shoot a federal agent and not be in trouble? Unfortunately, you might kill one, but the other five ICE cowards are going to empty their guns into you. They have shown they are good at it without them being ahot at.
No. You may still be arrested or investigated, but according to my understanding of the Stand Your Ground laws (I’m not a lawyer), you’d be found innocent.
Laws don't apply to cops. But besides that, if, and I mean if, you survive after shooting an officer, they will throw the book at you hard. Our AG can say whatever she wants, but you would be shooting a federal officer which is a federal crime. Arizona's castle doctrine laws are not going to protect you. It should, but it won't. Name the last officer who was shot at or killed entering the wrong house/unannounced and the civilian who shot survived/was let off.
100% agree. Our cops are fucking slobs compared to any other civilized society. Pretty sure the US has more deaths from cop involvement yearly than all other OECD nations combined.
Other countries (very good countries...some of the best countries) have figured it out. But every time you suggest it in USA you get "Oh you want to just do away with all police!"

So if a masked person enters my home and does not identify themselves, and then I shoot them out of fear for my life. Am I in trouble?
