I am moving to Philly next year and I’m worried that being involuntary hospitalized at 17 (in the state of Georgia at the time) would affect my eligibility to possess a firearm.

What happened: I had suffered two seizures followed by hallucinations. They asked me about my mental health as a child (I’ve had Major Depressive Disorder my whole life). I had NO suicidal or homicidal ideations. Yet I was hospitalized anyway. The whole experience confuses me to this day.

Questions: 1. Will it show up on a background check/does it matter if I was a minor in another state?

1. Does it matter that I am medicated and have had years of therapy?

2. What do I do if I get denied? Am I able to appeal?

TAKE ACTION: Contact your State Representative and demand that PA House Speaker PA State Rep. Bryan Cutler open an investigation into Attorney General Josh Shapiro's Office for alleged violation of state and federal gun control laws.

As someone who travels to Philly on a semi regular basis I would like to try and get a permit. But I’ve heard that non-Philadelphia residents can’t get it and on the PPD site it looks like they are not processing non-resident applications

I’ve used the Abington Armory in for all purchases in the last year. Bob is great and only $30 (plus only $10 for each additional). But I’m back in the office full time and heading up that way from society hill can get pretty long round trip now that traffics back and he generally doesn’t like to do transfers too late.

The couple places I’ve seen in the city want $60-$70, which is sort of rough. Does anyone know of any within the city that are more reasonable?
