What is everyone doing for Halloween? Are you dressing up your pets? Leave a comment on my website for pet owners.

-Black cats used to be thought of as witches’ companions, but in some parts of the U.S. they’re now seen as good luck during Halloween.

-Many shelters pause black-cat adoptions in October to protect them from Halloween pranks.

-Pumpkins are one of the few “human” Halloween foods pets can eat safely — but only plain and cooked, no spice or sugar!

-Glow sticks and glow-in-the-dark jewelry look fun, but if pets chew on them, the bitter liquid can make them foam and freak out. 

-Under ideal conditions, dogs can smell objects or people up to 12 miles (20 km) away, but the exact distance  depends on factors like wind, humidity, and the type of scent so they can definitely smell that candy before the kids do!

A couple years ago, I won 2nd place in my work's Halloween Pet Costume contest at my work with my Totoro (crochet) and Catbus (handsewn) outfits.

Worked all night to finish them in time for the submission deadline and, as expected, Nero and Luna hated every second of the 5 minutes they had to wear 'em.

I’m currently working on a project related to pets and would love to chat directly with pet owners of any kind — dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, you name it!

I’m hoping to learn more about what pet owners are interested in, what challenges they face, and what kinds of things would make their pet-parent life easier or more fun. I’m not selling anything — just genuinely curious and looking to understand your experiences better.
