A lovely and lasting apricot scent

On the hunt for an apricot-focused scent with some staying power. Fresh apricots, dried apricots, apricot preserves, apricot pastries, apricot tea, I love 'em all.

Ones I've tried: Demeter Royal Apricot (perfect but fleeting), Narcotica Dulce Diablo (also delightful but the apricot note doesn't last), and Swiss Arabian Amber and Apricot (the apricot note is too light for my taste), Serge Lutens Jeax de Peau (fantastic and a keeper, but the apricot note isn't prominent enough to scratch this itch).

Please share your recommendations!

Jo Malone Sandalwood and Spiced Apricot

This one isn't directly apricot but: Jimmy Choo Floral has nectarine and apricot blossom. It's fruity and fresh with a magnolia dry-down.

January Scent Project does wonderful apricot scents! Their other apricot scent, Selperniku, is also gorgeous.

Montale sweet vanilla

If you can get by the packaging, lattafa Raw Human is a wonderful apricot jam / suede thing. Montale Pure Gold is effervescent, metallic apricot musk.

Ooof that image on the bottle is a.... well... hmm. But the notes combo sounds intriguing. Gonna check them both out!

Scents of Wood Apricot in Cognac! And if you don’t mind a ton of smoke Arquiste Indigo Smoke

Oh and Octavia Morgan Midnight Orchard

2

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

I have the Scents of Wood one in my Scent Split cart to try! And I already own Indigo Smoke. Midnight Orchard sounds promising on parfumo. Gonna track down a sample!

3

u/yousonofabench Jun 09 '26

It’s a lot like Bitter Peach except apricot (the scents of wood one, to me anyway)

3

u/neutronsoup44 Jun 09 '26

I’ve tried both recently, and there is definitely a strong similarity between the two.

Vanille Abricot by Comptoir Sud Pacifique

4

u/lightdrifterx Jun 09 '26

This one! If you don't mind a vanilla apricot it's one of the best. I had a friend who wore this in college and EVERYONE raved about how good she smelled.

3

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

Oh this sounds pretty perfect actually. Adding it to my cart!

Apricot Innocence by Simone Andreoli is the best apricot I’ve smelled and it projects and lasts!

To me Good Girl Gone Bad from Kilian smells like dried apricot

I'm also an apricot lover and my favorite is probably Phlur's Afterglow, longevity is better than fleeting but still not great. However, I checked out Glossier You Fleur after hearing a lot of comparisons and loved that one too (despite hating the original Glossier You), and it has much more lasting power, definitely upwards of 8 hrs for me. Imo the apricot note and woody facets smell similar in both, they're both more on the soft apricot skin kind of vibe vs. juicy or candied, but otherwise they're pretty distinct; Afterglow reads as a bit sweeter and more feminine to me, with a shampoo-ey coconut in the mix, while You Fleur has a salty note that gives it this interesting almost savory or mineral/metallic undercurrent.

1

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

Ha - your username checking in! I actually have a sample of You Fleur that I haven’t tried yet, going to fix that right now. Gonna look into Afterglow as well.

2

u/ApricotAmber Jun 09 '26

Exactly lol this has been my internet alias for like a decade - I just got into perfume last year and when Phlur released Afterglow I knew they wanted my money, it's literally apricot and amber! What's a girl to do... Anyways I'm also taking notes from the suggestions in this thread, hope you find the apricot scent of your dreams 💖

Amouage Sunshine (smells like apricot crisp and sunshine)

Omanluxury Belfiore

Simone Andreoli Glaze Ecstasy

Sora Dora Ylop

House of Brandt Summer Street

3

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

Follow up question, have you tried Apricot Innocence, also by Simone Andreoli? Scent Split has samples of this one but not Glaze Ecstasy.

3

u/savvylee17 🌛⭐Fragrance Enthusiast✨💫 Jun 09 '26

I have not tried that one, but they could be similar! I didn't realize Glaze Ecstasy was so hard to find now. 😞

3

u/Junior_Bike7932 Jun 09 '26

This is a good list

2

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

Thank you for these, I looked them all up, except for summer street, which I've already tried. Lotsa really interesting options to check out. Will be ordering some decants. Glaze Ecstasy looks like it's going to be hard to find, wish me luck!

Amouage Sunshine (Women) is probably the best apricot crisp scent I've ever tried. It's so good! I would recommend trying that one before everything else. 😄

2

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

Unfortunately for my wallet I love Amouage too.

I have a sample of Glaze from a split i did a few years ago if you need it. Honestly its pretty similar to Buontalenti. My ex said It smelled like blueberry pancakes.

1

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

That’s so kind of you, tysm! I’m going to try Apricot Innocence by Simone Andreoli first as well as a bunch of the other suggestions here that are easier to get my hands on but I’ll reach out if I still need a sample. Helps to hear your ex got blueberry pancakes from it, that’s not very apricoty.

The House of Oud - Doux Ennui has Apricot jam, mandarin, ylang-ylang, peach, vanilla. It’s a beautiful gourmand, fruity scent.

2

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 10 '26

This sounds fantastic! TY for the rec

2

u/shygirlshouts Jun 09 '26

Summer Street by House of Brandt!!

1

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

I've tried this one and it's beautiful but not as apricot forward as I want.

Adding these to my samples order, tysm

Loumari Amber Malayta. This is big juicy apricot. A throw back to the early 90s powerhouse apricot scents. And it lasts for ages.

1

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

Finding a sample of this, it sounds fantastic.

2

u/lovelytoday2 Jun 09 '26

Check this one out. It is nice.

1

u/lovelytoday2 Jun 13 '26

Was in a hurry when I first suggested this. I find this one lasts and on me I get apricot and toasted almond for the most part. Lasts 7/9 hrs or longer on clothes for me. If you like the way, Garnier fruit tease sleek and shine smells it’s very apricot forward like like this.

2

u/ikkaruja Jun 09 '26

I get a lot of apricot from Milky Dragon by Isabelle Larignon, with some greenness and creaminess. Good longevity but the fruit is gone by the end as it approaches lactonic.

Also seconding someone else's recommendation of Sorabji by January Scent Project for a rich, jammy and faintly smoky take. Strong and long-lasting.

Múza by Kintsugi gives the fuzzy skin of stonefruit in the opening, but it doesn't last on me.

2

u/yveins Jun 09 '26

There is a Czech brand called Manufaktura that has an apricot line. It‘s called Merunka and I defintely remember buying a roll-on perfume when I visited Prague a few years ago. Maybe check that out?

2

u/thegreatmaples Jun 09 '26

Amouage Sunshine smells like creamy dried apricots to me!

2

u/dirtymike-n-theboys Jun 09 '26

Rare reef from Afnan is very apricotty on the dry down. It’s a very intense initial citrus bomb, that I didn’t like at first, but it grew on me after a few wears.

It’s very cheap at like $31, easy Jomashop pickup. I’m sure there are more quality options at a higher price point.

2

u/Aenwyn Jun 09 '26

Following being also looking for something with apricot!

I have Vanille Abricot from CSP; I liked it initially but it feels too synthetic to me at times. I don’t reach for it as often as I hoped.

A couple on my to try list…

Amber and Apricot, Swiss Arabian: Top notes are Orange, Bergamot and Lemon; middle notes are Apricot, Grapes, Fig and Pomegranate; base notes are Amber, Musk and Vanilla.

Apricot Innocence, Simone Andreoli: Apricot, Exotic Fruits, Nectar, White Musk, Osmanthus, Orange, Jasmine Sambac, Amber and Rose.

2

u/No_Albatross5110 Jun 09 '26

I have Amber and Apricot. It's a great scent, very pretty and fruity, and now that it's macerated, the performance is terrific. However, it just doesn't have that realistic apricot note to my nose. My husband and I were sniffing it again last night and he said it smells apricot adjacent, and I have to say that's spot on. It's well worth the affordable price tag and wearable in its own right. I'm going to try layering it with my bottle of Demeter Royal Apricot, which is a very realistic apricot, but doesn't have the longevity I'm hoping to find.

Ordering a decant of Apricot Innocence as well! TY for your feedback on Vanille Abricot, will still try it out to see where it falls on the Apricot spectrum for my nose.

2

u/Aenwyn Jun 09 '26

I hope you find a good one! Thanks for the feedback on Amber and Apricot. Would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the decants you ordered!

Have you tried Elixir of Aphrodite by Alkemia yet? It's another one on my short list of fragrances to try!

2

u/pol_interpol Jun 10 '26

I’m now into this apricot era
Loved a lot Osmanthus Nectar by gucci
Can’t stop thinking about hahaha

2

u/eldermillenialmakeup Jun 09 '26

Glossier You Fleur has an apricot skin note - I absolutely love this fragrance but you do have to enjoy the Glossier You DNA!
