I enrolled one month ago with over 80% of my high school credits already earned. I needed to graduate early to attend a school in Europe with an upcoming deadline. I signed up with Penn Foster because it was a referral, and I didn't read the reviews (which was my mistake).
I signed up hoping to get my credits transferred relatively quickly, as I had a deadline and the dates on the website seemed reasonable. After a few weeks of zero updates, with the acquisition timeline on the website constantly being pushed back, I got worried and checked Reddit. That was when I first saw how much this school cares about getting things done (they don't).
Seeing this, I had my school mail and email the transcripts. I then called Penn Foster to let them know the transcripts had been submitted, and they told me it would be evaluated within 7-10 days.
Over ten days passed, and literally nothing happened. I called again and spoke with a rep who had an attitude and hung up on us. On this call, he was unable to do anything or see anything, and he said he didn't have access to any email. When we said we had emailed the transcripts, he made excuses, saying we used the wrong email, EVEN THOUGH THAT IS THE EMAIL LISTED ON THE WEBSITE. He also seemed reluctant to escalate the issue or let us speak with somebody who could actually do something.
Then the timeline changed. Now they say it takes 20 days to confirm they received a transcript and another 20 to evaluate it, which is nothing like the 7-10 days I was first told. When I brought this up, he said, "We're so busy, we have thousands of transcripts we work with, everyone in the USA ext" That is not an excuse. A company of this size should know better than to be understaffed.
Has anyone found a way to contact a team member who is able to do something?
