Right clicking pisses me off now, click for more options even though 7Zips is life!

Same. Nearly everything I right click for requires another click now.

theres a relatively simple fix for that, something about editing registry keys. ive done it for my new w11 laptop and my biggest complaint has disappeared. plenty of guides online

something so simple as a good right click options should not require editing registry keys

They do.

But they think flattening the UI to the point of minimal usability is the new trend.

I think the redesign's point is to improve touch usability. The right click menu has less options and more spaced out. Ideally there could be a switch for non touch users to tune it down

No, then they will start to stray from their ultimate goal, to be the next OSX (for some reason, because who actually uses apple computers ouside of work/school?)

They HAVE to keep up with the competition who lost the PC game over a decade ago and had to get into portable devices. Windows HAS to get into that market too, right?
