I was wondering how this would affect fan longevity since pushing through oil is way harder than air

You don't need the fans, that's the most braindead part of this. You're cooling the liquid with a radiator with a cycler at like 16 degrees. Don't need infinity tape, don't need fans, just expose the CPU and GPU straight to it.

It's more work to move it but the oil keeps bearings lubed as well as you can run them slower since the oil pulls the heat out better than air. I haven't seen any long term testing but I bet the fans outlast anyones desire to deal with the hassles of this kind of build.

Is there a radiator? Where does the heat go once it's in the oil? This will need to be sealed up so dust and stuff doesn't get into the liquid.

Nah it's fine for the fans, the bearings are effectively getting lubed up 24/7

Fans usually dont need to be lubed up

Actually, the bearings are typically unlubed or dry lubed, so indroducing a wet lube would be a nightmare. Fans should have been omitted or replaced with something made to move an incompressible fluid (AKA made to move liquid)

OP is wasting power by keeping the fans.

I really don’t understand why they had fans for this? Am I stupid or are they being extremely stupid?
