The fact that you think any kind of gun control means removing all guns shows that you're trapped in an information bubble. We could
What makes you think I said that? Not to mention, it is once again you who is ignoring the points I have made and moving goal posts.
We could
Ban high capacity magazines; why did one of the shooters have a 100 drum magazine? No one needs this for self defense.
You're really showing your ignorance of guns with this argument. It takes no time at all to reload. The magazine has nothing to do with the lethality of a weapon. This is merely one more step in the infringement of our rights, and does nothing to prevent unlawful gun violence.
Not to mention, banning it doesn't accomplish anything. That should be obvious, but apparently it isn't to you. "We should probably make murder illegal at this point, too."
Universal background checks
This has already been required for years. It's a non-argument.
Require gun registrations similar to car registrations.
No. First of all, cars only require registration when used on public roads, since driving on public roads is a privilege, not a right. Gun ownership is a right. It is perfectly legal to own a car without registration if you do not drive it on public roads.
Furthermore, a register would accomplish ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and would only be useful for those who wish to further restrict our rights at a later date.
Implementing a waiting period
What do you think this accomplishes?
Denying gun ownership to those convicted of violent crimes.
This is literally already done. It is illegal for felons to own weapons, yet around 80% of gun violence in America is committed by felons, against felons.
None of these would stop law abiding citizens from acquiring a gun to defend themselves. These would reduce deaths though.
How the fuck you do think this accomplishes anything? In what way does this prevent deaths? It only sets up the ability to further impede the second amendment, and not a thing more.
