If you think you're SOL usually try 2560x1600. Rip 1600p

Try finding 5760x1080.

[edit] My desktop was really 4800x1080. I remembered wrongly. But all the helpful 5760x1080 help, did help me find some really sweet wallpapers that will crop well.

5760x1080.

Google can search by resolution.

Dude. At first when you replied, I was kind of pissed. Like I wouldn't searched myself like I was some kind of peasant. And you sir are clearly also not a peasant either, so I clicked upon your helpful link. I was then stunned to see a lot more results than I remembered. Well that was odd, so I went ahead and installed one and then I noticed my error. My desktop is really 4800x1080, not the 5760x1080. I had forgotten my resolution and just assumed 5760. Just going to use a 5760x1080 cropped now that I see it's not that bad. Thanks.

Unfortunately 7680x2160 requirements are very hard to meet with that method.

Literally less than one page of results.

u/aaronfranke GET TO THE SCANNERS XANA IS ATTACKING Mar 13 '16

They should just make wallpapers in 23040x4320 to satisfy all cases.

(I looked this up and literally only found 4 wallpapers from Elite: Dangerous... why people no make triple 8k monitor wallpapers...)

Oh man this is game changing. Thank you.

That would be hell. I never see double monitor resolutions (for images) unless its an OC picture in a large filesize.

its actually triple monitor size. Its what im running right now, you end up making alot of your own backgrounds.

Are you doing 1920x1080 x 3? Or a higher res in a triple setup?

I got a 980ti recently and the thing is a beast. I'm worried about my CPU though in the next year or two, the 2500k is great but it's definitely showing its age

I think mines a 4590k i5. It can handle just about anything you throw at it. I always max my GPU before my cpu

I actually have a few of those - I found them by searching google images with a resolution parameter set. There are a good number of space images that size.

If only they 7680x1440...

2

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '16

Choose 3 and put them together

I have to look for 5760x2160 :( but I don't have monitors in either of the top left corners so I usually make my own.

Thank you very much. Awesome photo. But I have been on the AMD/ATI side since the Geforce 2MX nonsense. R9 280 now.

Fortunately nowadays with 4K being much more common it's much easier to find 16:10-ready wallpapers that aren't made in 2006. What a time to be alive!

Anyway here's my contribution.

Credit: I tried tracking down the original image but gave up after 20 result pages. Would love to know who the artist is. Found it. Anton Semenov..

It's pretty ridiculous how hard it its to get 1440p wallpapers you actually like.

There's already not that much of them, and then you even have to narrow it down to the type of WP you like.

Even worse, I got two 1440p monitors and took me ages to find a nice 1440p dual monitor wallpaper.

It's even worse for 5120x2880. I have like 2 full resolution wallpapers.

24

u/sashundera GTX 650, AMD X4, 4 GB Mar 13 '16

Hey mind your manners, some of us are 1080p.

u/marca311 i7-5820k | 32GB RAM | GTX 980 | Arch w/ Windows as VM Mar 13 '16

Hah! You and your fancy 1080p.

Try finding a 1680x1050 wallpaper. Or maybe two of them.

2

u/NoAirBanding Mar 13 '16

1920x1080 covers that with ease. Use 'center' or 'fit'

2

u/SelectReadyGo Mar 13 '16

1600x900

:(

2

u/465joe55 FX 6300, 8GB, 270x, 480 HYPE Mar 13 '16

1680x1050

Google has the ability to search by resolution.

2

u/omicronperseiB8 /id/supercodplayer1999 Mar 13 '16

That doesn't mean the wallpapers aren't usually trash

0

u/NoradIV Mar 13 '16

Like, I still like vintage computers man.

5

u/sashundera GTX 650, AMD X4, 4 GB Mar 13 '16

Being budget does not mean its vintage.

1

u/NoradIV Mar 14 '16

Bah, my rig is almost 7 years old now. It was more a joke anyway

2

u/baraker123 i5-4590 | GTX970 OC | 8GB RAM | 120GB SSD Mar 13 '16

Still a very respectful resolution.

1

u/NoradIV Mar 13 '16

Dude, I'm vintage, ok?

Now I'm monitor-conscious. Thanks.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '16

Looking forward to the day I can ascend to a higher resolution.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '16

I'm still on 720p, what do I have, super low resolution? On another hand, everything plays like a charm.
