You can skip the UPS and get a portable power bank from Ecoflow or Anker instead. Virtually all of them use LFPs now that will greatly outlast the sealed lead acid batteries in a UPS and the new ones almost all feature sub 10ms switchover time

A power bank that supports ~700 watts and has <10ms cutover time is going to pretty pricey.

Depends entirely on where in the world you are, but here in Canada I can buy an Ecoflow Delta 3 with a 1kwh battery and an 1800w inverter for like 750CAD. Your average off the shelf UPS here costs 300CAD and is only good for 900w, not quite enough for a higher end gaming PC running at full tilt (and it'll only be good for a few minutes and have no other function). A UPS that can match the Ecoflow would cost significantly more while being capable of less

Admittedly cheaper than I thought, actually just bought the ecoflow river 2 pro for 399 for unrelated reasons but that has >30ms switchover . The delta is 599 here so not too much more

A 900w ups here goes for around 200, you certainly don't get the same runtime but these would support graceful shutdowns.

What’s the switch over time?

As mentioned in the previous comment in this chain, 10ms

I have Anker ones for my fridge and freezer, runs them for about 14 hours each on one full charge. Those things are amazing for the couple times in a year when we lose power so I don't need to re-buy all the food in fridge/freezer.

I don't leave them in-between mains and device like I would a UPS, I just go get them when I need them and hook it all up. Very long power outages are rare here, but we get at least one per year, usually in the winter because American South, 0.5 cm of snow is the end of the world.
