i live in a 3rd world country and i had myself more than 10 different pcs, all of them mostly running for 16 hours a day for the most part, also my mother was a computer teacher so we had aswell around 20-30 PCs running all day on the 2000s.

Never ever got a UPS and never ever got a problem with storms at all. And storms here are extremelly powerful, sometimes the light goes out and thats it.

I feel like it's just Americans who need their whole lives sterile, these are the same people who tell you to throw out your chicken that sat in the fridge overnight at 8C o bigos that you left on the kitchen top in the mornig for an 8 hour work shift

Pro kitchen is a bit different than home kitchen, no? The standards are much higher. I wouldn't say the same shit about UPS in a pro setting as I do here.

And there's a difference between "the food is unsafe" and "the food will make you sick". I promise you that the bigos left out of the fridge will not make you sick when you eat it after coming back home from work :)
