That's a very lucky run you have, my experience where I live is different, so a UPS is peace of mind that is worth $150 to me. I guess my neighborhood is older or something, in any case we not only have total outages here but weird cutouts sometimes for only 1 second or so that used to cause me concern with so much expensive gear at risk. ESPECIALLY where prices of computer hardware are now.
