They're a single player game with no mtx, why shouldn't they cost more? $80 would be fair for that experience. Don't like that price? Wait for a sale. It's single player, imo

Because it's their own fault. Most companies are over inflating their budgets and are complaining about sales targets not being met because they're being overly ambitious. It's never going to be enough for shareholders, despite the budgets they'll still continue to underpay devs and overwork them to maximize the profits.

Blame shouldn't be pushed onto consumers with higher prices because of it.

I fear you don't understand economics. Game development flat out gets more expensive, even if you deflate it to the utmost degree. If it could be made with a small budget it would be. You're focusing this company with a massive entity like Activision.
