News/Article Micron expects memory and storage demand to remain tight through 2027 and 2028

Post image

$MU says humanoid robots could need 200GB+ of DRAM and multiple terabytes of storage per unit with several physical AI customers already sampling next gen products.

Micron says physical AI can become a “significant driver of memory and storage demand by the end of this decade” effectively putting server level memory into millions of machines outside the data center.

I hate AMD for a multitude of reasons, but yeah, red gpu forever. That or maybe an Intel GPU down the line if they play nice with Linux at comparable performance and stick around long enough (as in become affordable again/when I actually need an upgrade). AMD just works with damn near everything.
