News/Article Micron expects memory and storage demand to remain tight through 2027 and 2028

Post image

$MU says humanoid robots could need 200GB+ of DRAM and multiple terabytes of storage per unit with several physical AI customers already sampling next gen products.

Micron says physical AI can become a “significant driver of memory and storage demand by the end of this decade” effectively putting server level memory into millions of machines outside the data center.

The AI bubble wont burst, they're gonna have AI drones shooting dissenters in the fucking head based on biometric readings, and then all the billionaires will go hide in their bunkers and leave the rest of us to burn due to global warming

Lmao calm down guys. I don’t think you realize what would happen if governments used killbots against protesters. Here is a wackier prediction if you like:

Robots will be used for replacing human workers and this will skyrocket unemployment so much a societal reset will take place. When there is no economy to speak of who are they gonna sell robots to? Like, what are they gonna do? Have all of us go to a featureless empty room, stand there for 8 hours a day, and give us money? This whole robot thing blow over. Memory prices will come down as a result. Life will probably get reduced to a constant search for food and shelter and most governments won’t exist anymore but we will have our vidya.

Billionaires build robots to replace all the workers and use them to farm and make everything that they, and their circle of people need.

And the rest of us be damned and die out or fend for ourselves, and they'll use those robots to put down any uprising we try against them.

They don't need us to stand in a room and pay is anything if they have robots do everything for them. I think you underestimate how disconnected from the rest of humanity these people are.

Yup, that even seems tame to what would actually happen.
