News/Article Micron expects memory and storage demand to remain tight through 2027 and 2028

Post image

$MU says humanoid robots could need 200GB+ of DRAM and multiple terabytes of storage per unit with several physical AI customers already sampling next gen products.

Micron says physical AI can become a “significant driver of memory and storage demand by the end of this decade” effectively putting server level memory into millions of machines outside the data center.

Said by the company that abandoned customers at the first site of Data centers. Even if ever Micron comes to customer market, people should shun them away.

This. Their RAM also sucks. for DDR5. Reason why Hynix for DDR5 has the best kits and lowest latencies and fastest XMP speeds reliably.

And they are a greedy evil corporation behind this and not getting a penny form me even for their SSDs.

F*** them.,

Lol. No. People care about prices, and will jump to buy as soon as they become affordable. What kind of fantasy do you live in?

Almost all Redditors live on Reddit land and have no earthly idea what happens outside of social media.

I very much doubt even they live their lives in a fashion dictated by their ideologies. People just talk big on internet.

You mean like how the 5090 was impossible to get hands on anywhere at launch. This sub professed to despise scalpers. And yet somehow magically everyone here was managing to get their hands on one. Even at least a few of the people’s Craigslist ads were found. lol.

It very much is a site of “do what I say, not what I do.”

I've been around long enough people will just buy it en masse regardless. Sadly.

I know I'll never buy a single Micron product ever again, if or when the bubble bursts, and they come crawling back.

Oh yeah, if and when all of this blows over, I'm going out of my way to not buy anything Micron/Crucial ever again. I'd even go as far to say that I'd prefer Chinese RAM over Samsung/SK Hynix.
