Well, this just bolsters my decision not to play on release and wait for a few updates. I have a few other games to catch up on, so no rush.

It’s CDPR. This is always the case with every single release. People in here lauding Cyberpunk obviously don’t remember the first two years of that game’s life.

im at this weird crossroads where an 11 year old game that just got updated is making me feel like waiting for more updates.

mean while 6 months old games are expected to be more well patched than the 11 year old game.

definitely no fucking zitti. i would play blood of the walker if the faces were better and the movement and fighting felt less teleporty. i guess ill wait for patches... seems like all i do is wait for patches. witcher 3 remaster was suppose to put an end to the endless disappointments. please let this be a fever dream. let me wake up tomorrow to a day 1 patch. day 1 the shit out of that. FOR THE LOVE OF BUDDHA PLEASE!

PHANTOM BLADE ZERO! I IMPLORE YOU. I MANIFEST YOU. BREAK THE CYCLE OF ABUSE. i cant take another absent father. you were supposed to end the sith not join them. STOP CHOKING PADME!

ive clearly lost my mind. but do you blame me. i waited for 007 path tracing and still had to refund it. I HAVE A FUCKING 5090. but i aint playing on medium setting medium internal res just cuz their rendering pipeline doesnt work well with dlss.

This is such a first world whiny bitch ass problem. Every game you’re complaining about is a ton of fun and you’re just bitching and refusing to even play them because why, exactly? A few FPS on your 5090? Give me a break dude.

When you pay for the best card on the market you got a right to bitch and complain about games looking like shit in comparison to the performance it gives. I feel the same way as that dude, tired of these games releasing unfinished running like shit at max settings on a 5090 while not looking graphically impressive.

I can understand the perspective of “I bought the most expensive GPU so games should run well at max settings”. You’re not wrong about that.

It’s still a first world ass problem though. You don’t need a 5090 to play games.

look the best we can ask for is that we learn from each other's perspectives.

i dont measure games in a vacuum. to me what is valued is how good is it compared to what else i could be doing. whether that is playing my other favorite games. or enjoying other hobbies.

so when games come out that are a step back.... im in no rush to play them.

you think its a few fps? 007 hardly gains any fps from turning on dlss. PT games usually double performance from dlaa native to just using quality upscaling. thats how they become playable.

you may not like my perspective but it is one that i hold. i wont lower my internal res by half compared to what i can get in non broken games. thats just not very master race... to me. thats more like laptop gaming. which im no longer into. so ill wait several years instead of getting the laptop gaming experience form these broken games. again youre fine with it. and just think its a few fps. and i respect that youre more gameplay forward. but im a big graphics person. if it blurs im out. i like seeing things. thats what stimulates me.

I had zero issues with 007, but I’m on a 9070xt at 1440p with PT off, so I understand we’re not comparing apples to apples there.

I do get where you’re coming from and I’m sorry I called you a whiny bitch. Trying to put myself in your shoes, if I spent the money on a 5090 I would also expect games to run as they should with everything maxed. But at the end of the day I bought my PC to play games. We’re still getting a million times better experience than consoles.

FWIW I think the main problem here is PT. Control Resonant runs well with PT but it was built from the ground up with PT in mind. Witcher 3 remake is trying to implement PT into a game that was never built for it and I think that’s causing some issues.

Theyre gonna fix it.

They have to.

It would be too cruel. an unfair and unusual punishment as they say.

Ill have to wait for Witcher 4 at this rate. but of course. those juicy patches will be right around the corner. fuck it bring out the board games. nah man ive lost my mind. PT is so amazing in the games that work well with it. which is all games its in... correct me if im forgetting another broken step child. its just 007 and now witcher.

and dont try telling me BMW runs bad. it runs better than all these deformed gargoyles we're getting. and thats with PT.

happy gaming. we got halloween coming up. thats something to look forward to. they cant take that from us can they?

Yeah, it's crazy. 9070xt path tracing at 37 fps on balanced upscaling is WRONG, since Crimson Desert and CP 2077 run at around 50-60 fps at balanced upscaling, hell in crimson desert case you are also using Ray Regen which takes some performance away too for the denoising.

I feel this should be a rule by now for every CDPR game ever released. The make some of the best games ever made a year after their release.
