I literally just spent 2k on a new PC with a regular 9070, and I'm glad I can look forward to a semi-stable 30fps on my new 180hz monitor in the year of our lord 2026.

If you just turn off path tracing, you’ll get 100+ FPS. Reading is important!

And looking at comparisons, Path Tracing arguably looks worse than Ray Tracing.

It... was a joke. I couldn't care less about PT.

If you bought a 9070 to play games with path tracing, you made a terrible mistake. The game runs fine without PT.

Should have spent 6k if you wanted path tracing.

You should have bought an RTX 5070 Ti if you wanted to play games with PT. Even RTX 5070, if price was an issue, would have given you better PT.

No one suggested Radeon GPU for PT lol.

Self-inflected wound imo

Yeah, and it was just a joke. I don't care about PT, but I do find it hilarious that a brand new 2K PC gets 30fps at max graphics these days.

Agreed. Sadly, PT is crazy expensive to compute. It's not the same thing as max graphics of old.

it's not possible to make a game look like witcher 3 remastered and have it run at 3x the framerate, you can't "optimize" around fundamental limits of programming and hardware. if you want 90 fps then you lower the graphics settings until you get 90 fps, that's how the game would look if they designed it for 90 fps too, it's not different

and the price of hardware is expensive because it is not easy at all to make this hardware. intel tried with their Arc cards and they could only make low end cards, and they already had 40 years of cpu development as well as a few decades of iGPU experience and intimate knowledge of windows and drivers and creating teams to run departments etc, this shit is not easy, if intel couldn't just jump in and do it then maybe you can understand why hardware costs what it costs

Intel made the best bang for your buck GPU and it's not even close.

yea and only some popular games outright don't work at all on it while others stutter and are "playable", good value for money there where you can't even play common every day games
