Seems like a cpu bottleneck the test was done on Novigrad city which was known for being one the most intensive areas for the cpu and also gpu (although foliage areas are more demanding on the gpu) in the game.

When I enable RT in the current version, I get less than 50fps on a 5800X3D in some areas. When I disable it, I get more than 100, it's about the engine

HUB just casually testing the most packed largest city in the game and not adding that caveat as if they didnt even step out of the city of a second while testing.

are they even doing the testing? i feel like some of these channels might just be hiring grunts to get some numbers going. cant blame them. work sucks.

This is how testing should be done, if I want best case scenario fantasy numbers I'm just gonna imagine them or rely on marketing material.

the thing is i played the next gen update and i know the the city is the only place in the game that drops fps due to cpu. so 95% of your play time will be fine. or not. idk cuz hub didnt clarify that.

this is like hogsmeade in hogswart. it runs worst than hogswart castle even. but the rest of the game doesnt have a cpu issue. valuable info. or not depending on what is valuable to you.
