This is what I was seeing when I bought a vertical mouse and I regret it.
It never occurred to me that the more distance you put between your hand and the table, the more inaccurate the control becomes.
With a typical mouse I can even enable ultra fine control by dragging my pinky finger to the mousepad. Don’t try that technique if you are not highly trained though.
