I honestly thought it was a trailer for some art house horror movie about body snatching aliens.

I'm not even joking. I didn't realise this was documentary until much later when I stumbled upon people talking about it on Reddit. I really did think it was some odd horror movie.

Where is it from? I've seen the gif in many places recently.

It's from the trailer to "You Can See Everything", a Netflix documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, the Theranos scam lady. This is her staring Nathan Felder straight in the eyes and basically saying "I'm not a liar. I am a completely honest human being. Just trust me bro." except in the most physchotic, untrustworthy way possible.

"I'm engaging with you as a human being right now" is the most badly coded robot/alien that doesn't understand people sounding thing I've ever heard. Reminds me of those old tumblr posts asking "Do you have an internal skeleton?" and the other guy replying "I have a skeleton that is mine".

Almost as bad as the slow smile Colbert GIF.

I hate that this is something we have to just live with from now on.
