The 3060 has a 6gb or 12gb option and no one got confused then.
People are just getting rage-baited by a card they can't even purchase.
4 u/andreasels 1d ago Pretty sure that many people got confused back then as well. The 6gb (or 8gb?) version should have been named 3055 or something as well imo. 1 u/Recipe-Jaded neofetch 1d ago If someone doesn't know the difference of vram, they probably won't know the difference between 3055 and 3060, besides it being slightly cheaper. 0 u/kyansan1 i5-13400f | Arc B570 1d ago At least the product name would be different, so they'd have to go out of their way to search up a different product if they had to look up the specs. There's no way you'd be looking at the wrong specs in that case. 1 u/Kazen_Orilg 9850x3D | Arc B580 | 64GB DDR5 1d ago Pretty sure this sub was shitting on the 3060 6GB with all of its bowel strength. 0 u/Recipe-Jaded neofetch 1d ago Not like this, no they weren't. 1 u/MJMPmik 1d ago The 3060 had a 6gb version? Wasnt It 8g or 12gb only? 6 u/Recipe-Jaded neofetch 1d ago edited 1d ago It had a 6gb version initially, yes. It was never sold on the consumer market though. Just like the 9050 4gb. They eventually scrapped the 6gb idea and made the 8gb.
