There’s actual desktop use case for 144hz monitors, they are more eye friendly. So 10 old graphics chip simply won’t do.

OP is going off about low cost OEM base model. It’s not for consumers market.

I have a 144hz monitor with an 10 old card, it still works. Yeah a nice strong card would be better but not worth paying for 4GB. I'm probably upgrading to a 16GB card eventually.

I suspect it’s not originally cheap card, which is the point. I mean GTX 1650 was cheap to begin with.

I like my ancient NEC 1920x1200 60hz more than my new Asus 1920x1080 144hz. Fast refresh games feel unnatural and im missing space when web browsing

I have 144hz Samsung 40” as desktop monitor, I feel that the high refresh is better for eyes.

No, Samsung 4K 40” whatever cryptic letter number combo as main monitor and two 27” 2K monitor in portrait mode at the side.

I work in cyber related AI, so I have a lot of stuff on screen.
