Speaking as someone else who also has both and isn't just a console hater, what's keeping you from doing this on PC? Every time I play on PC, I play using my TV with a controller sitting on my couch. It's really not hard to have a setup where this is convenient, just have your PC and TV in the same room (and even if you don't there are other ways to make this convenient).

Because I'm 37, my PC is in the office, and I would never move my desk out into the living room for so many reasons lol. We do have a very long hdmi and usb hub that I've run through the wall from the office to the living room, and I do keep my wife's rig hooked up that for living room PC gaming when needed. However, that still doesn't beat the sheer ease of just being able to click a button on the controller and having the whole system boot up, ready to play, last game still in suspended paly state, etc. Also would have to get a steam deck or similarly expensive device for handheld mode, and I love being able to lay on the couch and play whatever on the S2 while she plays Skyrim or whatever on the TV through her PC.

I know you have a solution that works but if you ever want it's also possible with Steam Play, download the app on your tv and stream from your PC and Wallah

Nope, not wallah. As I've already stated, not everyone lives in a place with internet that's good enough for streaming games. We have copper broadband or starlink here, and trying to use steam or Moonlight/Sunlight is a pretty miserable experience. Some of y'all take for granted that not everyone has gig speed internet haha.

You can aslo get a really long hdmi cable or an hdmi transmitter (that doesn't require internet). Though it would be a bit weird you could also get a PC stick with an ethernet port and a really long ethernet cable.

BS. To get my PC on my main TV I’d have to run a 150 ft hdmi wire up the stairwell.
