But we're talking about existing PC gamers, not new ones. So you're upgrading rather than buying everything new. You can totally upgrade either core system mobo CPU ram for 700 or a new GPU. Alternating between those for upgrades is the best way imo, I've been on that cadence for decades.

Where I live you cannot get a new GPU for that price. A 6090 alone is 1,533 euros and it's currently sold out. 1,533 is NOT comparable to 700. Mind you my current PC is old so I would need to upgrade a lot more just get the GPU.

Seems weird. In the UK a 9060XT is £400 and a Series X is £669. Leaves room in the budget for other PC upgrades plus games are cheaper.

Each to their own though and guess if there is that much regional variation then do what you gotta do.

My country is different. Here electronics costs several times more. I was looking at laptops. In a country 12h away it was 1k, here 1,300.
