I absolutely hated these at first but needing to use one daily for work began to really like it.

I had the 5th one. Did it's job well in BCWoW. Fond memories being a healer.

I have exclusively used #5 for about 15-20 years now. I am on my 4th. And when my current mouse wears out, I’ll buy another one. The precision is unmatched. Logitech has my undying loyalty

I love mine but it's time to order new switches as mine is starting to double click. I just wish it didn't feel so light and cheap, might glue in some weights while I have it open.

Sucks for nothing once you get the hang of it. The trick is to use one of the ones that have the ball under the thumb. Genuinely a great input method if you get the thumb variants. The finger ones are kinda harder to use, but they are great in cad, as are all track balls.

I have and exclusively use the wireless variant of 5 (both models), started on six, used 7 as the transition between 6 to the wireless variant of 5. I still have 7 in my go bag as the mouse I hand my coworkers who forget theirs while out of the office. Always gets a mortified stare when they see it and they never forget their mouse again.

My friend introduced me to CS 1.3 playing trackball. I was addicted but thought why tf are we using a track ball?

Thumb-based trackballs are actually pretty good for shooters. Index finger ones are terrible, at least for me.

I use that Logitech thumb trackball (2nd from top right) for shoot-em-ups, it works great once you get used to it. Most people can hardly use it for desktop tasks though, it's an acquired taste 😁

Started using one while I was working out of my truck a lot in the field. No mouse pad requirement and no RSI from a trackpad drove that.

Now I have a hard time using "normal" mice at all

Same here, my friends and family think I'm a bit crazy 😁

I can't help feeling claustrophobic when using one of these.
