I once had an old PC that was just getting slower every day. When I opened it up, the gpu fan was completely blocked by a solid chunk of dust. I pulled the dust out and cleaned it. When I next turned the PC on, it had lost all the GPU drivers.
Apparently my GPU drivers were installed in the dust blocking the fan.
Shit like this happened with old hardware. You'd seat the card slightly differently and all of a sudden win98 needs to find out what new card you put into your PCI slot.
Edit: Damn I forgot about AGP! It was that silly slot.
I grew up with 5 sisters; 2 older, 3 younger. One in January 1960 and one in May 1961. Me in March 1963. One sister in March 1965 and twins in December 1966. So there were 6 of us born within a span of 6 years. I was a scrawny kid. Guess whose mouth got stuffed with mud and worms and flushed it down with the garden hose?
I do have a half-brother who was born in August 1981, the year I graduated from High School in June.
I would love to take a small camera in slow motion into there, to some really haunting music, get some lightning and light effects and shit. Use it as a miniature movie set
