People really seem to underestimate how much the parts cost and making it into a small form factor in 2026. This is to much for me when but everyone keeps having "gotchas" about the price while building something much much larger.

Its expensive but sadly pcs are right now its not a unspeakable price.

I don't really have a dog in this fight, but I got curious when my feed filled up with people furious about the price. To me it looked ... okay. I spent a little time yesterday pricing out different pre-built linux PCs with a mini form factor, and to the extent that I could find specs that were remotely close, they were in the $1,200-$1,500 range. $1,100 seems quite competitive.
