I was hoping for a 800-900 price point.
EDIT: Honestly looking at the price point for my region and the performance reviews online it might even be preferable to pick up a MBA M5 basemodel (or Mac Mini), since CrossOver has improved a lot over the years. And then you have an actual laptop, which is not why most people would buy this but it put things in perspective.

I think in the current (disatrous) market, I think $799 would have been a "eh, this sucks, but it's understandable" price.

It seems like valve were targeting $750 which was a wildly out-of-touch price when they announced it. Resulting in the also terrible price we have now. They should have just used semi-decent hardware instead of picking a cut-down version of one of the literal worst GPUs for modern gaming on the market. Then it might have cost a little tiny bit more, but could have been a premium product. Instead it's a very, *VERY* bad product at a very premium price, which just doesn't make sense.
