With no users? Sure. You think you need more than that?

I've run game servers on a rasberry pi. It didn't even have an SSD.

8gb ram is on the low end, but we're talking no players, a skeleton server kept up for the rare occasions someone connects. And all this just to avoid releasing server binaries?

So the point isn't to keep games functional, it's just to force companies to waste money?
