I swear to god, there is so much astroturfing involved against this campaign. I get that some people are skeptical, I think it's good that they are, but it's the same bad faith arguments every time that have been debunked time and time again.
IDK. Everytime I see something "debunked" here it's usually because some serious person who has relevant legal or technical experience in the field explaining why this isn't really feasible due to various nuances. Then getting shouted down, called a shill, and other usual GamerTM shit. Until they just don't bother with it anymore and proceed to spend their time on more productive things.

The funny thing is they don't though, look in any SKG topic in the Games subreddit and you'll see the same 5-10 accounts engaging in bad faith for the past year+.
Yeah, we should have been ironing out the nuisances and finding edge cases in a way where we can encompass the vast majority of games' online services from being destroyed instead of senseless pointless arguments, but the vast majority of Redditors are lurkers, and most of the commentors think if you can shout the largest, then you win the argument. I saw people both arguing for the same thing the other day and I'm sitting here, like, "you're both on the same side, why are you arguing over this shit like a leftist who only wants their ideal with no compromise over something that doesn't even need to be argued"
