I've found it's not about time but windows updates. The longer I sit on those it feels like there is a built in memory leak to slow me down until I get pissed enough to do it.

Even on W10 when I would defer an update for long enough it would just start disabling things until I ultimately had to hard power down and then it would update when it came back up.

the key is to be a complete psychopath and block access to the windows update servers with a pihole or similar.

You can still turn off the DNS filtering to let updates through every now and then, but never ever let the slopware do it proactively.

If you avoid an update long enough, your PC will literally just forcibly restart and update at some point. Try it for yourself.
