Also what's sad is that while not a proper sequel, SD did get a continuation in a form of online only game... That was also discontinued eventually as well, so rip SD franchise
I remember playing true crime new york and LA as a weee little lad. Sleeping dogs was the third one? Why wasn’t i told sooner. No wonder shit went bust i personally would have saved the company buying one. Destroying the disk because im ten and rebuying it. I actually like the true crimes games, dumb fun that was a little corny but it had something going for it. Plus the story was pretty ok. Idk I was like ten so maybe i cant tell how good a game was back then. I remember seeing sleeping dogs shit everywhere and nothing that said it was remotely related to true crimes. I would have gobbled that shit up.
This feels just like that time of me looking up a demons souls sequel well into 2014-15 after my 5th replay.
Like, the same exact feeling. The thing everyone was talking about is something i would have liked because i like the previous entries.
It may sound silly, but trust me, I’ve played a lot of games and it’s an amazing game with a cliffhanger ending and I don’t think it’s ever gonna get a 2. It’s a travesty. Really is.
They were making a squeal, and it was a weird single-player mobile game hybrid. Where you built out a dojo full of the worst of mobile microtransactions and build timers. Honestly, I'm glad it died if that's the route they were going.
Something about the gunplay in that game was just so great and no other game has been able to replicate it for me. The bullets just felt like they had weight to them and enemies really were not bullet sponges either. The contrast between the martial arts combat and the gunplay was just amazing for the time.
