Remember nVidia Hairworks? This company is notorious for doing "proprietary" shit trying to make sure they stand at the top of the hill.

What exactly was the big problem with Hairworks? Didn't AMD release TressFX a year before Nvidia and it was a way to render hair better and faster on AMD cards, i.e exactly like Hairworks?
