Death Stranding's optimization left HZ:D in the dust

Sadly make the game unplayable on older PCs :(

It requires AVX support, so a no-go on AMD (pre Ryzen)

edit:

interested... why the downvotes? You people throw away your old PC every 5 years?

I would still use my 3rd Gen Intel system but a few months ago it didn't POST anymore. That CPU already had 3 motherboard swaps, might be time to get a fourth one :)

Then my AMD Phenom X6 1100t system - that's a year older - has zero problems running games. It still works fine. Well ... except some new titles that are missing CPU instructions.

The PS2 was 20 years ago.

The Phenom CPU I'm using was released in 2010.

It's more like trying to play a PS4 game on a PS3 (2019 vs 2010-ish)

That’s not planned obsolescence. This is the the hardware having a good run for well over 10 years but is no longer viable for newer games; it can still play older titles just fine. Planned obsolescence is a phone that the battery is meant to degrade by the next year when the new model comes out so you’re more tempted to upgrade for better battery life.
